Jess Swinfield
Jess has previously worked in a range of childcare roles - from before and after school clubs, mainstream and residential schools, residential care, community play schemes, street play projects and nurseries to providing 1:1 behaviour and SEN support.
After gaining a bachelor's degree in Playwork, Jess found her passion in working with looked after children and developing inclusive play training modules and play policies whilst also promoting a playwork approach to working with children in care.
As a passionate advocate for children’s rights, Jess thrives from opportunities that can enhance children’s lives. She is interested in ensuring children can access a range of play and exploratory experiences in a wide range of settings. Being able to inspire others to develop and widen their approach to supporting children's play within schools is something she is able to provide as a mentor at OPAL.
