Jessica delivers the OPAL Programme across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
She has worked in various playwork and education roles, across a number of different settings and with children of all ages, since 2008. Her passion for working with children and young people began in the voluntary sector as the Chair of a children's play charity, providing accessible play opportunities in disadvantaged areas. She then went on to work in Early Years, followed by a Play Practitioner role, operating out of school and holiday clubs.
Jessica then moved into teaching, working in primary education for 8 years where she gained further experience across all key stages, supporting children with SEND and in Forest School provision. It was when working in a primary school that she discovered the OPAL Programme and shortly after achieving Platinum status for her school, she made the move to return to playwork full time as an OPAL Mentor.
