Natalie Faure

Natalie has 23 years’ experience in primary education and has had the privilege of working across a range of settings and roles including subject co-ordinator, Pupil Premium Lead and Deputy Headteacher.

With a deep commitment to pupil wellbeing and a passion about giving children rich experiences in a world dominated by screens, Natalie champions quality play and believes children learn best when they are free—free to explore nature and discover beauty in the world around them!

Natalie’s experience in leading and actively implementing the Opal programme shaped her understanding of its valuable purpose and potential. She learned not only what the programme requires to work effectively in challenging settings but also how to recognise and cultivate the desired cultural conditions that lead to real, sustainable success.

One of the most treasured moments came when Opal play was introduced in a disadvantaged area and children shouted from inside a wooden cart, “This is the best day of my life!”—a reminder of why we do this work.

Natalie can be found running with her dog, Watson in the woodlands and forests when she is not working on Opal.
